I was at the Race Track yesterday when all of a sudden after 25 Shots my 7D went Silent, the Only thing i saw was the" Blinking Battery " Symbol on the top Display.
I Cleared the Following:

1.All batteries are Fully loaded.
2.The Grip is not faulty, camera does not work with fully loaded Accu neither in the Grip nor the Body itself
3. I Changed the Button like Battery "CR1616" twice and it still does not want to work.

Thanks for your Inputs

How long have you had the 7D? Is this the first time anything like that has happened?

I would probably go to a local camera store and see if they will let you use a battery from a 7D or 5D demo model to see if it works in your 7D. If it does then it's your batteries, if not, it's the body. Hard for me to imagine that both of your batteries are bad though. Sounds like it's probably something with your 7D unfortunately.

Unfortunately then I think you need to find the Canon Service Center in Germany.

What about the small battery next to the regular one? The one that ' remembers' the time and date and such?

Sounds way to early for that battery to dry out, but it could be the problem.

Then I am sorry to say that my educated guesses already stop at this point.. I think yourdoinitwrong said the best solution, find a Canon Repair Centre in Germany.

Good luck with finding the solution!

So heres the end of the Story,my cam was sent to the Repair shop last Wednesday,i got it back today with following note:

" The Camera was repaired according to Canon Warranty and Norm,The camera fulfils all Specifications,Electronic components repaired and other Electronic Components Replaced."

i would surely like to know what they did but for now i am just happy to have my cam back:)

From other posts I have read on here that seems to be their standard type of response. They never really say what they did. Hopefully now everything works like it should!
