These were taken near our cottage. A little bird but a new one for me.

Classic pose

That is a classic pose Scott, lovely images... Looking at your beautiful shots, I just realized I haven't seen this little guy yet... he is usually here by now... I am wondering where a lot of my birds are, I am also missing half the warbler species that usually fly in here....

Same here. I was beginning to think I was the only one. There is something gone wrong with the seasons. And now the oil...

Charming little bird. Great shots Scott.

Mitch, something is really off down here. I hope the birds are only behind schedule because this is setting up to be the poorest variety and lowest numbers(aside from one location where there's low water and a fish die-off underway) I've seen in spring and early summer.

Beautiful shots Scott. I've never been able to sort out the Empids, so I don't knoe whether I've seen one of these or not.

Thanks Dave, we had a good warbler season this year and are also seeing some unusual birds as well (an Eared Grebe and a White Pelican).

....we will be seeing the oil effect for a long time Mitch. Sad.
