I have two older Transcend cards that's I've used for few years now with absolutely no problems. 133x and 150x. More notably the 150x works well taking HD 720p videos in the T1i. 133x I use in a Canon P&S.

has anyone dealt w/ warranty issues w/ transcend?

Sandisk Elites (or maybe extremes and up?) have what seem to be a very good minimal questions asked warranty exchange. My boss got swapped just like that. Granted, you don't want to have to deal with it, it's bound to happened eventually. Also, sandisk comes w/ some nifty recovery software I've used to help some folks retrieve stuff.

now, with that said, I only buy sandisks when massive rebates are active =) I have some transcend's for my GF1, and my brother has for his GH1 as well. No problems so far. I plan on picking up an 8GB CF card later though, and maybe a 16GB card for my old ipod mini

My Transcend 16gb SDHC on my T1i croaked my 4th or 5th day shooting with it. I had a wonderful weekend of football photos + eating out and I lost them all. BAM.

I mailed it in and got a replacement in a week or so.

I have been using Transcend exclusively since I started using DSLRs just over a year ago without any issues (6 cards total, including a 32gb), and for many other purposes for about 5 years. I can not recommend them enough. You get the same performance as Sandisk and 99% of the reliability, and all (usually) for 20-40% less $$.

Have you got any statistical data to back that claim up? I would not be happy to lose one shot in every hundred. Fortunately, my Transcend cards have 100% reliability.

I shoot HD video all the time (T2i) on Transcend cards and they work great.

No bragging list - I just rent whatever the job requires.

Are they fast enough ?

Depends on the card speed. The cards range from 200x (30MB/sec), 400x (60MB/sec), or even 600x (90MB/sec). Of course, a 600x Transcend card would be allot faster than an 200x aData cf card.

The question is how well a Transcend 600x stacks up against a Lexar 600x that costs 2.5x AS MUCH!!!

I just purchased a couple of A-Data 16gb 533x. It's UDMA (6) and in both 5Dii and 7D, they're blazing fast. I was able to burst several X-game stunt shots without any problems.

I've got a couple of Transcend 16gb cards that I've been using for a year and half or so; haven't had any problems with them yet.
