Two LR3 issues - Ratings and Backup

Just noticed two issues with my LR3 upgrade.

1) When I edit a star rated picture in Photoshop by transferring it from LR3 and then save it back to the same location, the star rating disappears - I know for sure that was not the case in LR2.

2) I always save my RAW files to a 2nd location when I import them into LR. With LR2 they would automatically be stored in a folder called " Imported on Monday, June 28" (as an example). In LR3 they are all being dumped into the same location without a date folder which makes finding anything almost impossible.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

In the right side panel, where it says, "Make a second copy to ...", click the downward pointing triangle and in the box that opens select "Make a new folder". Name it anything you like.

I always hated the method in LR2. I want my backup folders to have the same names as the primaries and I would have to always change that stupid date.

Sure, if you want it to repeat a formula, it will be date-named, just choose that from the list of selections. I personally prefer a more descriptive name so I do type in a date/shoot description name.

This is a known bug in LR3.
