So I've been mulling this over for some time now. Later this year (November/December) I'll be in Egypt and Jordan for two weeks, and I'm wondering if I will need some GND filters. I'm sure many of my shots will be landscapes, which is why I was going that route. I'll be using a high end Hoya CPL, but not sure if that will be enough. For lenses, I'll be bringing a Siggy 15mm Fisheye, canon 10-22, Canon 24-70 and 70-200 2.8IS while on the Nile.
To add to the confusion, I'm most likely bringing a back-up camera. I don't want to be there and have something happen and not have a spare. My main is a 7D, and my current back-up is a 10D, which I'm thinking is not going to cut the mustard. I was thinking of getting a 5Dc to bring along, but that all depends on if I need the GND filters or not.
So if you were going, what would you do? High quality GNDs or a 5Dc as a back-up?
