Does everyone shoot bare flash @ a 45 degree angle for portraits etc?... that doesn't blind your subjects still?? ...

Pixel - most of us use a diffuser of some kind. I usually use a stoffen at 45 degrees.

Edit: the lighting in this place sucked, one massive red light canon, one strobe in the middle of the room and a screen behind the DJ. The red light was so strong that the people shot was 1/50s! Overall it was a good night though. There are a couple more shots on my flickr if anybody wants to see them.

This shot was taken at The Luxury Box Lounge on Channelside Tampa.
Lighting inside was a bit tricky. I've been doing Nightclub photography for about a year and working the light to my advantage isn't always easy. After all is said and done, a good number of my shots impressed a lot of people.

Sort of.... This guy was the only one wearing a hat. Stuck out to me. I'm also from NY and I dugg the hat. lol. Seemed like he was the only one not having a good time.

Another day another evemt! lol Really sucked though, my flash bracket broke and had to hold the flash with my other hand for the first time. So a lot of shots came off a bit hot.

Haven't done these in a while. Was good to be back on it.

Really not happy with the crowd shots, though I suppose I'm really limited by the ISO performance and low-light!

Week of St Patty's I ended up shooting 3 shows in a row. The St Patty's was my personal fave, can't go wrong with Netsky (my personal fave DNB producer)

Next up was some more deep end, purpley type of night with Reso, Toddla T and Untold.
