Not too happy with the last one. The ETTL doesn't seem to be getting the right flash power recently for some reason.

That is one of the weaknesses of using ETTL (both manual and ETTL have their pluses and minuses you just have to know what they are and decide which you can live with in a given situation).

If it isn't getting enough power (assuming it isn't firing on max and you are just either too far away or not using an efficient light modifier) that means you are probably metering on the lighter (brighter) clothing, spots. In your photos in particular the white outfits. In your last photo they are exposed just fine (with only a very small portions blown out) - in fact you can see where one girl has what looks like her iphone/phone in her swimsuit, in your First photo they are wider blown out sections.

Thanks, I know what you mean about crappy photos. There is a guy that works the same club and people will pay $5.00 for a crappy looking 4X6 from him. He is shooting with the GF Lightsphere, No top on it with a 15 foot black ceiling. He's been shooting long than me. I'll try shooting ETTL this friday. I wanted to post pics but for some reason my flickr images won't show up on here.

post pics of the experience? thanks

I've been shooting at Midtown ever since they opened up 2+ yrs ago I think now? I'm there Fri and Sat nights.

Do you shoot for Public directly or for a promoter?

For the website or the logo on the bottom right of the pictures?

The website font is "PT Sans".

Not sure about the logo, the PNG was just sent over to me to stick on.

I would be careful not to be known as that photographer who takes pictures of women's posteriors.

Yeah, but maybe less beautiful women do, certainly if their picture is not online. You will be known as that photographer who only shoots women asses.
You can take the picture, but can always decide what to delete and what to publish.

I see where you're coming from. I upload 99% of the photos I take. The only ones I won't are the ones that don't come out properly. The only photo people care about is the one of themselves at the end of the day.

You can create a negative impression of yourself as a photographer.

What do your images say about you? Food for thought.

Right, Leeds is pretty much shut for the summer now (two universities and Ibiza means that the clubs are pretty empty during July and August). Time to take a step back, recharge properly and think up ways to drum up some business ready for freshers week.

Aye, I know what you're trying to say. I just don't worry about it is all.
