^---HAHAHA! I don't think the 100% crop was necessary AT ALL to prove your point....but, Westcoast, I will agree that the shots do seem a little on the soft side. As far as composition and quality of images compared to the first few you posted, they are much, much better. I can definitely see the improvement. From the looks of it, your aperture may have been open wider than necessary on the first shot causing the face to be slightly out of the depth of focus. It's still a great shot, though. With the second one, I might recommend changing the AF point to the 'top' of the frame when you're shooting in portrait orientation so that you're sure it's nailing focus directly on the subject's face. Other than that, I think the pictures are great. It's awesome to see people taking advice and being able to implement in into their work. I can't wait to see more.
