Hi everyone,

This will be my very first post in this section. Last week I got invited to my wife's work party as a photographer. This was totally out of my comfort zone, however, I must say that having read through ALL of your posts here helped a great deal. There are some true talents here. Thanks for all that info!

I would love some CC and how I could improve on my images.

yeah, I mean I can recognize the presets in your photos. IMO that is not a good thing, it detracts from your creative process as an artist. If you want to do it quick, you can use one of those presets, and back down the color so it looks closer or all the way to B&W. B&W is on the 'anonymous' end in terms of presets, if its B&W there's pretty much no way to recognize it. Just my 2 cents, obviously do what you feel like doing. :)

I really appreciate the feedback. I'll take that into consideration next weekend after my 2 gigs.

Thanks!

It's for any time the sensor is exposed, not just video.

It is more likely to happen when doing video but as SleazyMermaid said, it can happen at any time the sensor is exposed to the laser, obviously the stronger the laser the bigger chance of it being destroyed.

This happened to one of my photog buddys last year and it certainly could not have been due to video as he uses a Nikon D700 in the clubs.

in anycase im not brave enough to do it lol. I dont mind watching the laser and if it has a pattern, learn it and take a quick photo when i know its going to be facing away from the sensor but i would never take it head on.
