Your nights look so cool srika. Always have really good and interesting subjects! same with chris and shea too. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you get per event? And how did you start out / get to where you are?

Regarding how much I get, I don't think that is privy to answer publicly. I'll tell you this, I get paid decent, but I don't get paid what I think I should be, given the hours I spend there and the hours I spend at home on the sorting and production, and also given the # of years I have been doing this. Anyway, it's decent enough to help me pay the bills monthly. And, that is good. But I still need to keep a day job to get by. The photography isn't anywhere near to becoming a full-time thing for me. Way too unpredictable.

I really want that more fill like flash look I see Srika use and Matt Wong!

I generally shoot at f4 ISO 6400 1/20-1/5...should I bump up the ISO more and use less dragging??

lol I was gonna say I think you're doing fine your shots look almost exactly like mine! then I noticed you posted one of mine. lol

I think you're doing fine mate, you have a very similar look - I always drag shutter - love having that background color in there. Don't stop getting better, keep pushing and pushing and adjusting to get the look you desire.

fun shot from last night, it was a tight space so I had to do a 2-shot (top and bottom) panoramic with the Sigma 50 1.4 - this was my widest lens last night since I forgot my 28-300 at home (and no longer have the 24-70 ). Was quite pleased with its performance!

Ha thanks, yeah going to tweak some of my shots tonight to see what happens.
I was tempted to take out the cheap nifty fifty to see how it does stopped down. May be a bit of fun and force me to actually think sometimes ha. The 40mm pancake could be fun.

Busy night as always...camera was above my head for most of it ha.
