Shot with 5D, Tamron 17-35 and 580 ex ii flash on camera at 1/8th power. I mostly shot at 400 ISO and f/5.6. I think to better expose the whole image I'll need to bump up ISO a bit but I was blowing people's faces out a lot. I probably would've shot in ETTL but started with the flash off camera before realizing I could use it on and really needed AF assist. 1D III 5D II 5D | 580 EX II x 2

Took the advice of some of the forum's veterans. I didn't have a "fast" lens...Just went with my stock IS 18-55mm, a Speedlite 580EX II Flash, and a Canon EOS Rebel T2i. Any C&C is welcomed. A little background on the place: Thanks again for any thoughts.

It was -25 but well over 1,500 people made it out to listen to some big names throw down beats. I was not asked to shoot it (I wouldn't have either, -25 was cold enough, not to mention my poor gear haha) I did however shoot the afterparty at the Republik Club afterwards where ill.Gates and Eprom played. This is my fave from the night: flickr

I've heard enough stories about decks being ruined by accidental spillage. The "I will NOT teach you how to Dougie" shirt is hilarious ![]() Haha yeah, it's always interesting to see how many "almost" accidents we have at The Firehouse. Most of the people there are regulars (house isn't a huge music scene in Pittsburgh, unfortunately), so they know the rules and regulations when around the gear. Usually, it's just someone getting out of control and hitting the laptop. Very rarely is there a drink spilled on the tables or Traktor...but that's where myself and my husband come in, haha. We keep a pretty good eye on the crowd. Most people leave their drinks right up against the coffin!! We're good about moving them to another location though.

That's good. I feel sorry for the DJ, it's hard enough spinning the good stuff, it's just bad when someone asks for the latest Lil Jon or Lil Wayne and you're half tempted asking security to remove them for said request squall1977 wrote in post #11662868 Some of my fav shots from Skrillex concert this last Saturday...
