night club photos (NWS) (2)

Stu - sounds about right. Just don't wipe peoples faces out with the trails like the tog did with several shots in that album.

After reading through loads and loads of posts, stumbled across those candyboxx photo's. Stu, how would you get shots like that? What settings/movements etc?

Question: Tiesto will be coming here to Houston on March 19, and was wondering how to obtain a press pass to shoot at this event? If anybody has any information on this it would be great!

Does he have an official photographer or what?

Don't think so.

I had a press pass for one of his gigs and was instructed by his management when he came on to get out of the pit as were all other photographers.

^ I don't see the point in that, if youre a performer in a venue with a photopit let the togs stay, its not like we're barging fans out of the way to get a shot! If he doesn't like the flash guns just tell people flash photography isn't allowed and then he can work without being blinded.

Candyboxx is run by a friend of mine. Pretty sure it's one of his mates who does the photos but if he's anything like me he's not going to tell you how it's done.

Definite use of lightroom presets though.

Just started to shoot the whole nightlife photography...I'm coming from landscape photography background.... Hope you enjoy the shots!

Your landscape work shows in your photos. Get closer to your subjects. Nightlife is a whole different world. You'll thank yourself later.
