Do you guys [and gals] have a preferred neckstrap connector?

I've narrowed it down to the proloop, or the "standard" one (the connection type like found on the OEM Canon straps).

Does one have any benefit over the other?

I will be ordering a POTN one, just wasn't sure how to link the different connector types, so I used amazon links.

Cool, those webbing connectors are what I was calling "standard" in my original post.
Is there a reason your chose the webbing connectors over the pro-loop?

I could slide the eyepiece cover onto them; they are easier (IMO) to fasten to the camera and I prefer the adjustment they offer over the wide webbing with the loop-style ones.

FWIW, I built myself a completely modular system from Optech parts. It's similar to the your first link above, but I can also disconnect the strap at the camera leaving just the short uni-loops.

I bought the Utility Strap with swivel connectors...
http://www.amazon.com …TRAP-Swivel/dp/B0001XFLTQ (external link)

And then the System Connector Uni Adapter...
http://www.amazon.com …tor-Adapter/dp/B0010HE2CY (external link)

I removed the swivel connectors from the next strap and replaced them with the uni-adapters. Now I have a neck strap than can be assembled in any number of ways. I can disconnect the uni-loops at the camera if I want to remove the strap altogether, or I can remove the pad portion of the strap and connect the ends of the adapters to make a short carry handle. I can also use the original swivel-connectors to hook onto the d-rings on my backpack straps, using either the short uni-loop connectors at the camera, or the longer uni adapters. Clear as mud? :)

Next I'll be buying the Optech sling adapter (just released), and I will then have a sling strap which can quickly be attached to the camera.

It's all very modular and can be customized any number of ways to meet my needs.
