What I meant too long is 135 is too narrow for T1i. 135mm in crop sensor (T1i) equivalent to 216mm. Hope I explained well.

You explained very well. (I'm blushing over here for my dumb question).

You could consider the 85/1.8. It will have a 136mm effective FL, 1.8 effective aperture (~50% faster than the 135L), AF is just a hair slower. You should expect the DoF to be greater than the 135L on a full-frame camera, but it's still pretty good.

It doesn't have as nice color or bokeh in my opinion, but it's also availible for ~350 on ebay.

Anyone own the 100L and 135? I keep looking at this thread mainly because I have nothing faster then 2.8 beyond 50mm.

Some of these pictures are fantastic. I would love a 135L, but was worried about it on my 60D. The 85/1.8 might be a great option that I hadn't thought of. Thanks.

Thanks bizzle, I got the 50 in dec and the 24 just a few weeks ago so no plans to buy anything else right away. These damm L primes are amazing and addicting, I just wish I had more time to shoot right now.

I would certainly go for the 85 on a 60D.

Agreed with Tommy. These damn things are so addicting. I bought my 35L and 135L just in the past two months, so I'm not planning to buy anything for awhile too.

The 135L is one of Canon's finest lenses, ever, IMO. It has been since The Before Time (pre-EF) and still is. Stupid sharp, lovely bokeh. What's not to love?

I think 135L would be too long for T1i. I use it on 1DMKIV (1.3x) and I think it a bit long. It's perfect on the FF.

It's a matter of personal preference and really depends on your shooting style and subjects. It may work just fine for one person on a 1.3 crop and not at all for another.

Remember, with primes you zoom with your feet. If you're using a crop, you'll have to be farther away - not ideal for indoors but can be fine outdoors.
