Iphone to verizon in january. Not surprising considering ATT moved up a lot of thier customers upgrade eligibility 6 months earlier to lock them into contracts and also increased Early Termination Fees to 350+.

That's really a shame, I wish Apple would stay away.

Also, these rumors have been flying around forever with sources "familiar with the plans" forever.

Yup im aware of the rumors being out there since ive had the iphone for 2+ years. This time however ATT has gone to great lengths the last two months trying to lock in as many current and new subscribers as possible. I actually want the iphone to go and hog data else where.

I am on android now as well. I dont care as much as I used to either. However I will not kid myself... I will probably get one. I won't as soon as it comes out. But I will most likely end up on iPhone.

Huge Apple fan but I've got a Droid and I won't make the switch if the iPhone does come to Verizon. I'm really happy with Android.

Nope, not gonna happen. AT&T has the exclusive contract for another year.

Bloomberg are a bunch of idiots, this is the third time they've started such a rumor. They're also forecasting the doom and gloom of RIM's demise. I dunno where they get their info, I see a hell of a lot more people with Blackberries than iPhones.

What happens next year may well be interesting. Frankly I can't see Verizon as being all that eager to bend over for Apple just to carry the iPhone, especially with how many issues the iPhone4 has already experienced. They already have a lead on AT&T in the customer base, have good phones, great coverage and much better customer service.

I would hope it doesn't happen, I have Verizon and am very happy with the coverage, service, and my Droid Incredible. I'm considering trying to wheedle and deal an upgrade to the Droid X when it comes out next month. I don't even want to think of Verizon's network being turned into chaos like AT&T's has been ever since the iPhone came out.

If someone else does pick up the iPhone next year, think of how pissed off all the fools who ran right out and sold their souls to AT&T for the next two years are going to be. Locked into another year after that with a terrible network and as of this writing, a rather unreliable phone. Ugh!!!

Yeah, it seems like everyone and their mother has made this prediction, only to see nothing but blue and white stripes instead.

That said, I can't wait for it to get to Verizon, so that everyone that hates ATT can finally leave and we can stop hearing all of the **** about them.

It will happen sooner or later. These cellular companies are all about money. Don't you even get that? While you may be happy with your Droid, it really isn't the type of phone I want. Everyone has their needs for a phone and I want an iPhone with Verizon service. Besides, who makes you the authority/expert on what should be released into the market?

Why do you care? Evo connects to WiMax and iPhone does not. If you don't have WiMax service, then your connection isn't perfect. ;)

I'm just playing. :p
