I have my eye on the Evo. WiMax is badass.

AT&T has the exclusive contract for another year. Bloomberg are a bunch of idiots, this is the third time they've started such a rumor. They're also forecasting the doom and gloom of RIM's demise. I dunno where they get their info, I see a hell of a lot more people with Blackberries than iPhones. What happens next year may well be interesting. Frankly I can't see Verizon as being all that eager to bend over for Apple just to carry the iPhone, especially with how many issues the iPhone4 has already experienced. They already have a lead on AT&T in the customer base, have good phones, great coverage and much better customer service. I would hope it doesn't happen, I have Verizon and am very happy with the coverage, service, and my Droid Incredible. I'm considering trying to wheedle and deal an upgrade to the Droid X when it comes out next month. I don't even want to think of Verizon's network being turned into chaos like AT&T's has been ever since the iPhone came out. If someone else does pick up the iPhone next year, think of how pissed off all the fools who ran right out and sold their souls to AT&T for the next two years are going to be. Locked into another year after that with a terrible network and as of this writing, a rather unreliable phone. Ugh!!! Whats intresting here is that no one speaks about resale value on the iphone. You can usually sell your current gen iphone for 400+ depending on the size. If it went to CDMA verizon you can just post it on ebay and some soul in the GSM world would scoop it up. No other phone ive seen in all my years has this kind of value. -Omar- Flickr

Well, I have been debating about getting the iphone 4. I have the 3G now, but I hate AT&T. So, I find the news of iPhone 4 on Verizon very intriguing. BUT, there is the Evo and, you're right, it is an amazing device. I'd say it's the first the Android phone that has Apple playing catch up. But I have a lot of Apple apps and I would hate to ditch them all to migrate to Android. So, maybe I will wait to see if the Verizon rumors are true. By January, WiMax may have arrived in my neck of the woods and then I will really have a choice to make. See what I did there? ![]() Sounds like a canon lens investment vs jumping to a nikon camera -Omar- Flickr

Until it comes directly from Verizon's mouth don't get your hopes up. I hate AT&T's service so I do wish it'd come to Verizon but I'm not planning on anything just yet. -Mikey

I was very disappointed at the iphone4 announcement and now am awaiting the arrival of the Droid X. After some of the issues that the iphone4 have come to light, I really don't care much for it even if it came to verizon... Like ive told everyone who has asked me if ive had any problems with my iphone 4...No. The same thing happened on this forum with the 7D and every other new camera. Those unhappy scream the loudest but you never hear of people who are happy with no issues. -Omar- Flickr
