After I learned a whole lot from my first shoot with my girlfriend, I took her out for another session. I have more to process, but I'll post them later. C&C please :D

I can only see number 1 at the moment and it is a nice shot with great eye contact, on the down side I find the background very distracting.

Dave.

A load of Canon Gear.

I dont know if it is her skin or her hair but the lines on the neck bug me a little bit. Other than that great shot.

Thanks Dave. I found the background distracting too, thats why I tried to blow it out at f/2.2. Is the second one working now?

Its skin. They bugged me too. How could you get rid of that with posing? She really wanted to pose looking back at the camera.

For me its too much negative space behind her head. I get what you were trying to do but I think more space in front of her rather than so much behind.

I'm having a hard time getting the second image to post for some reason. Its showing up on my computer, but not on my mobile. I tried it again and it should be showing now.

I see what you're saying. Getting rid of the negative space behind her would also eliminate most of the busy background. I'll see what I can do with it.

I cropped the negative space and posted the new version in my OP. Is it better or too tight now?

I like it better. She is looking back into the image. In the original she was looking out of the image. If used properly you can create tension with framing like your original, but it helps to have a less intrusive background.

A very nice candid smile on your last photo.

She is quite attractive with beautiful eyes.

If she didnt look back quite so far it would probably help with the issue with her neck.

I'll give that a try next time. Thanks.

Gotcha. Thanks for the input, I'll keep that in mind.
