Hi all,

I currently have a Cokin P holder and I'm going to buy some grad ND filters (probably Hitech since I don't think I'll use them all that often). I'll be going to Glacier National Park in a few weeks and am excited to take some landscape/wide angle shots, so I'm going to rent a Canon 10-22. Will I be able to use the Cokin filter holder? I see that Cokin has a wide angle holder also available for $13. Is that any better? I'm worried about vignetting.

I appreciate any insight...
Thanks,
Seth

Well, I use my P-size filters on my Tokina 11-16mm just fine. The ONLY time I see vignetting is when I have my cir-pol mounted AND the Cokin P-Size holder. I have the "slim" version too, so only only holds one filter at a time.

With that combo mounted, the vignetting disappears by 12.5mm also.

I use my Cokin P filters in a Cokin Wide-Angle holder on my Sigma 10-20 without any vignetting.

Wide angle holder should be fine you might get some corner darkening at 10mm but its personal taste as to whether it adds or detracts from an image. Def get hi tech slides much better than cokin

If you're only renting the lens you could always just hand hold the filter, saves you $13 as well on a part you might never use again.
