These are some of our regular visitors that come into our yard. These are a couple weeks old. I haven't been able to get out much as of late to take more pictures. Thanks for looking.

Male Eastern Bluebird waiting his turn to feed.

Female Eastern Bluebird. The chicks fledged a couple days later.

Female Cardinal comes by for a short visit.

Juvenile House Finch that comes by with his/her family to the birdbath.

Our new Mockingbird... He ousted our other Mockingbird and has been singing proudly ever since.

Excellent series Brad, I always enjoy the Bluebird shots because I never see them around here... but that Mockingbird shot is gorgeous, lovely detail and light.

Thanks a bunch Steve, I wish I could send you one or two. He's up at all hours singing his heart out and plus he doesn't know about the mealworms yet either.

Many thanks for the comments Dave, We are lucky to have the Bluebirds. They're pretty little birds and fun to watch. The Mockingbirds on the other hand can be a handfull with their aggressive behavior.

Beautiful set Brad, excellent light and detail on all of these.

Judging by the size of your Bluebirds' quarry I suspect you have some nestlings getting ready to fledge soon... yes? Please let us know how they're doing. :)

good shooting,

Kenn

Thanks a lot Kenn... Yes, these shots are a couple weeks old and the nestlings fledged a few days after these were taken. Our Bluebirds have now started preparing for their third brood and will lay eggs in a couple days.

Great news Brad, thanks for the update.

We have 2 nests fledged (11 in the trees), and a 3rd nest just hatched (5 new baby Blues in the box), as of yesterday. I suspect we'll have a post about our 3rd nest soon. :)

best luck with your 3rd nesting,

Kenn
