Super clean action shots...GREAT!
Canon900 what gear are you using on these 300mm 2.8 and a MKIII body.?
I have a 50D and the 300mm2.8 but not getting anything like this... I think its the camera body lens combo that does the trick..
thanks
Joe

Joe,

I am using a Canon 20d, Sigma 100-300mm f4. I don't remember all the exif info, other than I shot them manual, wide open. I have field access and that makes a huge difference in getting the shots that I want.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the exif info from flickr any longer. They just made some changes and it took me about 20 minutes to find the links in order to be able to post the images.

I can only dream about a 300 2.8 and any MK I, II, III, IV body. It would have to be an act of a higher power for me to purchase equipment of that nature.

It's not only the camera and body, they play their part. But it is how you use your equipment and understand its limitations that helps in getting quality images.

Scott

Canons900,
With the shots you are getting there is no reason to upgrade...it is the eye of the photog and knowing how to use his gear... and you sure do.. your right about that.
I had someone the other day whick was better Canon or Nikon..I told them its the photog who sees the picture.. Great work, enoy your weekend,

Joe

Great shots! They "pop" well! The only critique in my humble opinion would be that NR seems just a tiny bit too heavy.

...Funny how all the parents I saw said they are going to order prints. And what's really funny, they have all be saying that throughout the year. Yet there has been barely a trickle coming in from the league...

I'm right there with you on that one... I've heard the same song & dance, too. One thing I've started doing to try to entice people to order is to offer temporary coupon codes on my site that are only good for a couple of weeks. We'll see if that works or not.

Nice shots, too!

Wonderful shots, the only thing I can think of is to brighten a few up in the face.
