It has been a while since I have shot any automobiles, but I think my work and skill have grown since my last time. The set doesn't hurt my cause either.
Let me know how I can improve these photos.

If it was a bright color like red or blue or yellow those shots would have been perfect. Equipment: Canon PowerShot A650IS (semi retired) and Canon Powershot G10 (primary) and Rebel XT 350D w/18-55mm kit lens and Quanterey 18-200mm-- www.youtube.com/alexander1485

Jun 30, 2010 22:58 | #3 Perfect setting for this bike_ period. I only wish the 1st didn't have the ceiling showing to the top right corner of the image. Maybe reshoot again? I'd also like to see a profile shot of the bike against this wall.

DxHatchback wrote in post #10460269 Second shot is perfect. The background and lighting in the first shot is way too overbearing and sort of ruins the overall picture. How would you fix it then? Because I try to change it, and I keep coming back to the original. I have had the "overbearing" one as my wallpaper as soon as I finished it. My Web Gallery www.KrisSnowPhotography.com

I can see what you mean about it being "lost", but I don't really agree. While I was working on the photo I tried to make the background a different color, but I didn't like the way it turned out, so I left it intact. The pics are great, the background is fine to me. PhotosGuy Cream of the Crop, R.I.P. More info | Jul 02, 2010 08:27 | #10 How would you fix it then? I like the angle of the background in #1, with the angle of the bike in #2. Problem is the white blown areas compete with the white bike for attention. You need to be aware of that sort of thing when you're shooting & take two exposures so you have something to work with in PS. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

I took 8 photos in that position 3 bracketed for an HDR background and several of the bike strobed from various angles. Number two is PP'd in that technique, where as number 1 is only two photos. I had to fix a shadow on the bike. My Web Gallery www.KrisSnowPhotography.com
