These shots were taken inside the hulking ruin that is the Star Hotel of some small Australian fame due to a riot that began there involving ~4,000 people. The story can be found here:

For a long time it's sat as an abandoned hotel that has seen many, many squatters come and go. I recently met the caretaker and was shown around - these are some of the photos.
