Need a new bag to fit my T1i, 70-200 & more

Currently i have this bag

I was thinking to get a Crumpler 7 million dollars home.........I also have a T2i with 70-200 F4 attached....

im not sure if i like that.

Not bad, i wounder what the advantages are over the canon backpack. Im not sure if id be willing to carry a backpack everywhere i need to take my camera.

Well, first off the blaring Canon logo... The Canon's velcro (at least on mine) has frayed a bit and the fuzzy dividers (as opposed to the nylon on the Tamrac and also on Lowepro, Pelican, and many others) attracts junk, namely dust.

If you're not sure about the idea of a backpack - well you've run into the reason why many people own multiple bags. I use a backpack for carrying large amounts of gear to a single place when the trek is long (i.e. hiking, walking). I use a belt system when I'm moving around and need to carry a fair amount, but need it at hand quickly. No searching and whatnot. I use a shoulder bag when I need to carry a fair amount of gear to-and fro, and for everything else. It all depends on the situation.

It seems like you're the casual shooter, and a shoulder bag would do fine, I imagine something like a Tenba messenger would hold what you've got listed with a fair amount of room to spare. But then again, we all have to wounder what situation we're heading into before choosing a bag.

x2 if you want a shoulder bag it's a great way to go.

I can fit one of my cameras w/lens attached, and my 4 other lenses. Or 3 lenses and a flash.

Personally having owned a backpack I do not really want one again, they make your back sweaty and look geeky.

Oh second thought about the sweaty back...ewh haha

Wow that burton is huge, thanks for all the help guys, yes I certainly do agree on the situation part but id like to only have one bag or two. Ill look into the shoulder bag. Any other advices? Thanks

Yeah but somehow I feel it's better for carrying. A Backpack is the way to go for serious walking.... I mean shoulder bags are a balance of comfort and looks. I myself have a shoulderbag, but sometimes I feel it's easier on my back for a backpack. A month or two ago... after 2 long days of shooting, I also ate some nasty pizza and got incredibly sick. I spent one day at work not being able to sit up straight (probably also due to bad sleeping position the night before), and in absolute stomach pain. It was one of the worst feelings in the world.

I am really enjoying my Think Tank Retrospective 20 which carries a larger body with 70-200 attached plus flash, 24-70, 50 f1.8 and my iPad very comfortably. Might be a bit more than what you want to pay but after spending a lot on buying bags I have found my daily carry bag.

You can try the Lowepro Classified 200AW. I can fit a 5DMII with a 70-200F2.8 IS MII attached, 24-70F2.8L, 135F2.0L, 580EXII, 430EXII, TT1, (2)TT5's, 40D, plus more accessories. The bag looks very nice. My only complain is with the shoulder pad, it doesn't move and its padding is not at par with the size of the bag plus the weight that I will be putting in it. It doesn't mean you can't use it but they could have a better design and padding.

best priced value bags: lowepro flipside 300 and the versa bag (crumpler knockoff that is $50 cheaper.)
