Need help retrieving private message

When I logged in a few minutes ago, I received a notification that I had a new private message. When I tried to view it, I was told that I couldn't, because I had a pop-up blocker activated.
I turned off the pop-up blocker for this site, but now I'm showing that I have no messages in my inbox, and 1 stored message.
Where is this message stored, and how can I access it?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi there - I also had this happen to me today.

I read the Phishing scam topic up there that is stickied now, and I am wondering if there's anything I should do now that I have opened up this email. Is there anything I should worry about, or is this just people being annoying and spamming?

Thanks.

Even with the pop-up blocker activated, you can always click the 'Private Messages' link in the upper right, just below the Welcome, LesF line to see your PMs.

chantal7, there was a large spam attack that is already under control so you may not find the PM notified by the e-mail.
Clicking the link in an authentic e-mail notification will not harm your computer, it is a link to POTN.
If you find a spam PM that has not been erased yet, DO NOT CLICK THE LINKS there, just notify to the moderators using the

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'text/html'
(report button) on any post.

For e-mails with fake links, check Pekka's post

Sane here. I have had a email sent to me from this forum informing me that I have had a pm from DobAfteai860 entitled "hello"

I've had the same experience. These replies have set my mind at rest, however.

Hm. Guess I have the same thing, though on the top right it still says that I have "unread 1" messages. But when I go to my inbox there's nothing there.
