Hi,

I am bidding for canon 800mm lens on ebay and when i asked the person about lens code he said it is UX1007. When i searched on internet another person is selling 851.2IIL in Vietnam with same lens code.
I am bit confused if 2 lens with different focal length can have same lens code?

Ask for the serial number then check with canon, they may have some info on it. I would be hesitant with 0 feedback on such a high dollar item.

I ask the seller a few question
1- Send me picture of Len code (i specifically asked for picture, but he only send me code but no picture).
2- Then i ask him a few sample shoots but no show.
And current price is 3K pound which is unbelievably cheap (i think in Singapore i will get this lens brand new for 18K SGD but on ebay now price is 7K SGD, not even half).
I earlier call paypal and she told me if seller will not send items i can claim money back, i am not sure how easy/true it is to get money back from paypal.

Personally, I think you're playing with fire on this deal...

That's a $12,000 USD lens. IMO, ain't no way it's legit at that price.

I haven't paid yet. I think i will buy brand new from B&H for 10K USD. If i buy from Singapore i can extend 2 year warranty but for US set it comes with 1 year international warranty. But still it will be cheaper than Singapore price.

If it's the one I'm looking at (seller armando.er65), the seller joined ebay on 14th Jun (Just over two weeks ago!)
No feedback or sales - I'd run away if I were you.

Why not just use your CC and see what happens? If you get screwed you can just file a claim with your card and get your money back. PayPal is going to hold the funds for 30 days anyway. Just don't pay in cash.

And if your If your lucky then you might just get the lens....very lucky
