I am going to be spending a day at Yosemite, with a very significant other for a mini romantic getaway.

I live about 2hrs from the park's Entrance (Eastbound from Hwy-120).

What are some of your experiences as you visited the park? I've been to it a few times, though mostly looking through the viewfinder, or driving around in circles under the shadow of Capitan.

Any places, sights, eateries on the way, activities, that you would recommend? Nothing to intensive (say a 14 mile hike would be too much).

All your comments and help are always appreciated, friends. :D

Good read!.. I Will have to study it after work, definitely some of the references I was looking at.

I have also posted it here after google-ing the park, just to see if anyone has a special place, sort of their own, that they must visit when they go to the park (Aside from the obvious landmark views).

Thx !

Drive up to Glacier Point. It is the most amazing view.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Also there is a lot of construction on the 41 especially on weekdays. They stop the construction on the weekends for the tourists.

But Glacier Point is definitely a great view, especially if there are clouds. There are also a couple of small hikes there to Taft Point and Sentinel Dome.

And here is a link about the hikes that are available.
