My older two girls are on the swim team this year at our local pool. I thought swimming would be pretty dull to shoot, but I actually found some fun stuff.

The older kids are the best to shoot (the youngest look more like they are drowning than swimming). Here are a couple for C&C.

And if you are interested:
#1 - 1D4, 235mm, 1/1000, f/5.6, ISO3200

#2 - 1D4, 400mm, 1/1000, f/5.6, ISO2000

I second that. #1 is a good shot, but #2 is excellent

Good stuff !
It looks to be outside from the light and also the goggles the swimmers are wearing.

Is it? I'm curious that you had to go iso3200 to get a 1/1000 ss.

Thanks for everyone's comments.

The meets are indeed at an outdoor pool. The meets start at 6:30pm and generally finish around 9:00pm. There are tall trees west of the pool.

So I start shooting in full shade of a late afternoon sun (typically around ISO800) and finish in full shade and twilight using ISO3200 or so.
