Has ANYONE gone the squaretrade route to warranty their Canon lenses? I've used my google-fu skills, and there are VERY few threads concerning extended Canon lens warranties.
In particular, has anyone had to make a claim, and did it end up going to a Canon authorized repair shop? Do they only cover MAJOR issues (complete AF failure, errors, etc), or do they cover the more mundane (element slightly out of alignment from repeated barrel zoom use, etc) as well?
I just got a new 70-200mm f/4 IS, and I'm seriously considering a 3-year $1200 warranty with accidental damage/handling for $150 (or without ADH for $100).
TIA
