Hi all,
Took these this morning, Staffordshire UK.
Only managed to get a couple of shots of this bird sitting in the morning sun. Large crops so not the best quality.

Thanks for any help. :)

Thanks Marco,
I've been checking my bird books and the closest I can find is a Nightingale, I might be way off with that. It could be a Juvenile of some sort.

Looking at the shape of its bill I thought maybe a juve flycatcher.
I'll have to go back tomorrow and try and get a better shot. :)

Phil, I think you got it! After googling Nightingale, the Wiki seems exactly like your bird.
I wish there was a site like whatbird.com for Europe/Asia or the rest of the world really.
I have my Sibley of Eastern North America Birds which I can't do without. Wish I had all The Sibleys :)

I'm not sure at all, a few guys on flickr are saying garden warbler but i think it was a touch big for a warbler.
I went back this morning but did'nt see it.

Yes, I'd have to agree on Garden Warbler and, as canonloader said, a juvenile.

Nightingales are skulking things. They are difficult to see at the best of times and are most often only heard. I just can't see one sitting out in broad daylight like that.
