Faulty Shutter Button

I have a faulty shutter button on my 1DII. The vertical button on the camera seems not to be functioning however the horizontal is. I know I can go ahead and use the horizontal but I'm just anal like that it all has to be working. Is there anything I can do or just send it in for repairs?

Do all the other "vertical" buttons work? If not then it could be the On/Off switch that isolates them.
