I really like #3. The tech snobs will point out overexposure, and bore everyone with HDR, but there is a genuine emotional impact to the pic that I seldom see on this forum. Great job.

3 is a crazy shot. Really showing the violence of the blast. Tough to expose the contrast between the blast and the evening sky. Maybe there was a moment a few minutes earlier where they sky would have allowed more underexposure to reign in the gun fire. Very interesting shot. Thanks.

Oh, cannons. Good one, I expected to see Canon cameras.

Thanks for the comments guys! I wasn't far from them, approximately 100 feet or less. You could really feel the blast on the one closest.

Gibbit, i am not sure of the cannons. I do believe they were 105mm though.

I also see that I've commented on a previous post of yours, and that you explained you're on post.

Dang middle age!

Was this by any chance, last night's ending to the 1812 Overture?

Hey Tom, Hah, no worries about that. But the only picture from the 1812 Overture is the 3rd picture i have more from then on my web albums but they weren't that good so i didn't post. The other ones are from when they were shooting off a round for each state.

They are firing "Cannons," so perhaps that's the next model that "Canon" is going to announce ;)
