My F150

This shot was purely to get an idea of what effects the flash would have on the truck, which is why it is not washed or waxed. I would like to get better at nighttime/darker shots of cars in which multiple flashes or light painting is the primary light source. Any suggestions on the photo? Not an interesting background I know, it was a little past midnight when I took this and like I said it was purely experimenting with light. CC would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

well, as you know, clean the truck but since its a truck, it has more leeway... shot is pretty good. Looks like the truck is leaning to the left (or slightly away from camera) though.

You'll get better results if you put the light on something else that will reflect in the truck. Here's an example of a black 300 posted by spot9 in The automotive strobist setup pic thread.

Ahhh make reflections, that didn't even cross my mind. I'll definitely have to try that. I knew that (especially) since it is black that I should probably have done something different to illuminate the contour.

Looks like that thing could use a good buff.
