I might be putting a number of HDR's up soon for critique. I have never really made any serious attempts of it, but lately I have found myself in situations where it is needed. Does this work?

It is 3 images with 2 stops in between each. 80D, Canon 17-55mm f/2.8, Canon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6, Canon 50mm f/1.4, Canon 70-200mm F/4L,Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6, Kenko 1.4 TC, Canon 580 exII Speedlite, ebay wireless trigger, Genesis 3 light kit

Also, could you explain what you mean by 3 images with 2 stops in between each. I really like your picture too, Very crisp. I hope to capture images like that myself one day 1D X / 2x7D Gripped / EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM

I know a guy that does a lot of HDR landscapes and the photos look so artificial... he thinks he's doing an awesome HDR but he's not... hahahaha!

Also, could you explain what you mean by 3 images with 2 stops in between each. I really like your picture too, Very crisp. I hope to capture images like that myself one day HDR stands for "High Dynamic Range" It's a technique where you combine 2 or more shots at different exposures to create one properly exposed image where all the light levels are acceptable (not blown out or in complete shadow). The reason why you would do such a technique is in situations where there is high contrast - such as a bright sky and a dark landscape. The camera cannot capture all the tones in one shot. Our eyes are much better than the camera sensor. So, I bracketed the images meaning I took 3 quick shots in succession at different exposure levels. There was a "normal exposure", and then an under and over exposed shot - with a 2 stop difference from the normal exposure. There are other ways in camera to deal with this sort of thing, but for this shot, this was the best way. With a landscape you may choose to use a graduated ND filter. Hope this helps. 80D, Canon 17-55mm f/2.8, Canon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6, Canon 50mm f/1.4, Canon 70-200mm F/4L,Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6, Kenko 1.4 TC, Canon 580 exII Speedlite, ebay wireless trigger, Genesis 3 light kit

The "remove ghosting" feature in the CS5 helped somewhat. 80D, Canon 17-55mm f/2.8, Canon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6, Canon 50mm f/1.4, Canon 70-200mm F/4L,Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6, Kenko 1.4 TC, Canon 580 exII Speedlite, ebay wireless trigger, Genesis 3 light kit
