awe... they are so darling!

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations to you on your new found appreciation for photography.

Don't worry I too struggle with showing my shots, especially here amongst all these talented photographers. But for the most part they have all been truly helpful, in the most critical way...LOL

Oh no! I am so sorry for you, I would be so upset.... as would anyone I'm sure. I hope you can get another camera real soon.

About your son, my son used to make those faces all the time, for a good year or two. I never stopped taking pictures, and when he got older he had to look at himself and wonder what was he thinking.... just keep shooting, you'll all laugh about it later.

This was a picture I took last year of my boys on the 4th of July

This is the picture I got of them this year on the 4th :)

it just takes a lot of playing around with the camera, learning the settings (this board is WONDERFUL for that!) and all around, just keep on shooting! I've learned so much from this board and while I consider MANY on this board way above and beyond what I'm capable of, I'm finally really proud of some of my pictures ..... :) I will love every picture I take of my boys, but as I get more comfortable with my camera and my own abilities, I finally feel I can take professional quality pictures and be happy with them (though I could nitpick them to death).

I hope you're able to get a new camera soon! (I do have a DSLR, but I do have a P&S camera that I can use with better abilities from reading on this forum and other places on the net...... )

They are dolls! Look at those big brown eyes.

Wow, those are awesome photos! So crisp and clear.

Oops! I re-sized that and it is still huge. It is also cropped a bit funny. I didn't realize until I got home that I took a large amount of pictures and didn't notice the woman sitting behind us with most of her butt-crack hanging out her jeans!

I will definitely say that with a DSLR you can typically get crisper, sharper colored pictures...

but this one was taken with my little P&S camera (which is 8yrs old btw!)
