@Ian, I also use 7D with the 100-400, and find it a very nice combination. Gets used for all sorts, airshows, carshows, birds etc, really like it.

Nice shot! I like the heat waves from the exhaust. Was it a cool day or very still? The exhaust seems more prominent that most shots.
