Short trip to Rhode Island

Had a chance to check out Newport and Providence...mostly spent time doing the mansion tour--those houses are insane, especially when you consider how long ago they were built. Lots of thought and higher technology went into them than I expected. Too bad no photography was permitted inside, though.

All shots were taken with the 5D2 + 35L. The last one is from the hotel room window in Providence.

Nice snapshots.

Do it...it was my first time back in about 15 years or so and it truly is a great place. And if you love seafood, then you have to go! Definitely do the mansion tours and the cliff walk when you go...lots of great photo-ops.
