I used scn fireworks, handheld. I like to think of the shots as abstract fireworks art, lol. I was able to get a decent short video too with the G11. http://www.flickr.com/photos/luvsadog2/4764674681/ Luvsadog2

We were in Niagara Falls and enjoyed fireworks there. I had my dslr and tried. Saw my wife using her ZS3...turns out she was taking a video, and the results were spectacular! Neither of us had a tripod,or monopod. We were on the 27th floor of a hotel overlooking the Canadian falls. My shots weren't keepers. Hers were! Learn something every day. Yours are keepers and thanks for sharing. Kevan_G9 wrote in post #10485722 Terrific shots! Thank you all .. I didn't use a tripod on purpose -- after a while, fireworks shots usually all look pretty much the same (to me, anyway), so I went for more of an abstract. Glad you all enjoyed them! Carla Luvsadog2
