This has never been a problem for me before, but I have edited a photo in PS by using the external editing feature within LR. I saved in PS and now the photo says 1 of 2 in LR. But no matter what I do, I cannot see my edited photo. I have tried all the stacking options but all I see is the original photo.

It's as if the photo has not been imported into LR. It gets saved as a tiff in the folder where the original is. It has the same keywords. But when I am viewing photos by keyword - which is how I prefer to do it - it is not there. The only way to see the photo is to go into the folders and search for it. I don't understand how to fix this.

But as I said in the first post, it still says that it is part of a stack. It just wont show the 2nd photo. This was never a problem in LR2 but this is happening now that I am using LR3

Do you have any filters turned on? If so, try disabling all filters (colors, starts, flags, file type, etc.).
Also, be sure you are in the LR folder where the original is located.

Guess, since I use LR2:
In Library view: With the image in question selected, Press "S".

Or "Expand all Stacks":

(Unless that is what you mean by "I have tried all the stacking options". In that case I agree that turning filters off might work. ISTR reading something about LR3 dropping ratings when exporting.)

Yeah, something strange is going on. My workaround for this is to manually go into the folders where the picture has been saved to, delete the keyword, and type it in again. That usually makes it appear with the rest of the pics with the same keyword. Yeah, making sure all filters are off helps. Yes Rene, I have tried all of those options. Is this happening to anyone else?

Stefan, Yes that has happened to me a few times. I've tried everything you've mention and also what Rene mentioned. Technically I've never found out what's causing it but I have noticed that if I move on and work on other photos it does eventually shows up. I know this is not the proper way to solve the problem but I also have quit Lightroom and restart it and the edited photo would show up. Oh and by the way I'm using LR2

I am also experiencing the same problem so will be interested in a solution as well.
