Art musem, City Hall/Love Park, Independence Mall, Olde City, Rittenhouse Square, Reading Terminal Market and the Italian Market(9th Street) are just a few of the common tourist spots. It all really depends on what you shoot.

- Head out to Valley Forge for sunrise/set...
- Boathouse Row out along the Schuykill at night is nice
- Shoot the skyline from the steps of the Art Museum
- Fort Mifflin over by the airport is very cool

Thanks for the info.

Well I mostly shoot nature stuff but I want to do more city / street photography. So this trip is my first real go at it. Philly is a great town and everytime I go I see more I like.

I like the idea of the Reading Market. Olde City is great and we'll be over there for some brews and food for sure :D. The art museum, I haven't been to but it looks like an interesting building. Is Eastern State near there? We'll be at some shows in the evening so unfortunately I won't be able to do any sunset stuff.

Thanks Again - jriley

I'll be heading that direction soon myself. The locations mentioned here as well as other city sites would be great to capture! I'd also like to take some shots of the covered bridges in that area, or perhaps venture out to Amish country.

Lots of covered bridges up my way in upper Bucks County. Figure it's about an hour away from Center City.

Last time I was there, you could see the big Navy Destroyer across the river. Always thought that would be worth some cool pics. Plus there are a ton of old, abandoned buildings on the east side of 95. And don't forget Southstreet. If just for the crazy people.

Not a huge fan of the city, but Reading Terminal Market is a must.
