Terrific shots...how did you manage to eliminate the people in the first few shots? Did you shoot early in the am?

Enjoy your first trip to Chicago. One of my favorite cities.

As for the bean, yes I was there right at 6 am. The whole time I was there only 3-4 people strolled by. Figures that in one of my favorites 2 people got in the frame, but I cloned them out.

Thanks again.

The distortion was corrected in LR3. But it can also be done in PS or I imagine other standard programs. It's actually a very easy fix. In LR3, it was just a matter of moving the vertical distortion slider until the buildings were straight. But as you can see, it really eats up your picture. Those bean shots were my first city shots with my Tokina 11-16 and I really didn't know about this problem. I have learned that if I really want to get all those buildings in, I am going to have to back up and get more of the scene so when I do the correction, I still have the buildings.

I don't have a wireless trigger. I used the 2 second timer for my tripod shots.

Great set, but you have a quite a bit of halo around the bean and buildings in 1 & 2. I still like 'em though. Nice to see pics of the bean not surrounded by people!
