Today, I officially thrown the towel down.......after 3 months and 3 tries of buying a tripod...First the Benro C-269M8 bought Apr 28 from BH......Second, Gitzo GT2541 9 Jun, from Ace Digital Photo....Third, Gitzo GT2541 30 Jun from RRS........none of them arrived...........I guess it's not meant to be. USPS......you officially suck too!

Yes outside US but I have an APO address. I doubt the other two will come in but the last tripod from RRS is the only one that has a little bit of chance. If it pass the 10 day mark and I'm on day 8, it means it's either stolen again or lost. Why do I feel like someone is using those tripods now and laughing at me.

Outside the US and having them shipping to an APO (military) address so he's forced to use USPS. UPS, Fedex, etc. are not options for him.

couldn't you use a different address? if you knew and trusted someone close by, you could probably get fedex to send it to them.

I'm glad the OP finally received a quality tripod and head,
but what the hell is the deal with the shipments?

Seems to me that such high-cost items should have been provided
some sort of tracking info, regardless of origin and destination.
Can the shippers be held liable for any losses? Or responsibility?

The military APO/FPO system simply doesn't work that way.
