Starting to sell my prints and art shows as well as local "craft" shows and am looking for a good place for bulk orders of photo mats and backings. I have seen matshop.com and was wondering if there is anything else out there and if anyone has had any experience with matshop.com.

Also, any prints that I was getting done from myself has been through White House, do you think they are a good idea for this sort of thing? There bulk pricing seems very good (http://www.whcc.com …_Quantity_Prints_0209.pdf (external link)) but, I have only very little experience in terms of printing outside of this company.

Thanks for any help!

This is where I get my mats for the same purpose as yourself. I get a double mat, foam back board and a clear protective sleeve for $2.42 each. (if you order between 20-79) It goes down even further if you purchase more than that. Not too bad I didn't think for the entire presentation package all ready to sell.

oh, should have said, this is for 16x20 for an 11x14 image but they have all the other popular print/mat sizes as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

Think I'll be going with the goldenstateart.com mats, they offer an archival-level double mats much cheaper than documounts.

Which canopy from Caravan did you use Mike? I was looking at this one from Costco: Costco (external link)

I called Flourish.com and they said those mesh panels they sell for the "E-Z Up type" canopies could be used later for their Trimline canopies if I wanted to upgrade in the future. That is nice to keep in mind.

I use the Aluma one. It looks like the same one. Cosco was out when I bout mine 3-4 years ago.

Most excellent Mike. Again, I appreciate it. I pretty much have everything handled but just need to find some clever containers to keep my 8x10s in that will by put on the tables. Figured target or walmart or maybe pier 1 imports will have something. I am kind of shying away from the idea of just using some clear Rubbermaid bin.

Who will ship mats, backing, and bags to Canada? Goldenstate told me in an email last month that they would, but today when I called they won't! Which really sucks. Documounts is really expensive - over $71US for 25 kits before shipping... any ideas?
