Tell, please, interior width F-803. On a site bhphotovideo (external link) the width - 4, and on a site tiffen (external link) - 3.

Its flexible so not so easy to measure (my bag is also not here now). What are you trying to fit in it? Mine fits a Nikon D80 with a 80-200 2.8 lying on the side (Sorry haven't tried the Canon equivalent yet). No problem fitting quite big zooms in it. But check the hight. My 80-200 is about the tallest lens a can fit standing up.

renzir, тhank you!
I should place:
- D90 + nikkor 70-300VR
- nikkor 16-85
- nikkor 50/1.8.
Сhoose Domke F-803 or F-3x.

It's definitely not wide enough for 3 lenses - the only way you'd get them to fit is if two of them are short enough to go in stacked (with a piece of foam in between.)

I had no trouble fitting my 400D+70-200 attached, plus 50/1.8 and 18-55 stacked, or 400D+17-40 attached plus 70-200/4 unattached, if that's any help. I'm not familiar with Nikon lenses.

It's bad. Would be desirable more place. I then probably will take F-3x.
Thank you very much!

Yeah the 803 is a great stealth bag - small, discrete, and doesn't scream 'camera bag!'

If you are able to fit the camara with the 70-300 standing, you may be able to Get these three lenses in a three compartment insert (fa230) or stack them as mentioned. But i think a f-3x may be better since its also nice to have room for some extra bits and pieces. But why have only one bag, you sooner or later end up with both any way ( bagholism) :-). Buy them both now and save some frustration :-).

You might check out the Domke J-803 ... similar but just a bit bigger (4.5" thick).
It is ballistic nylon rather than canvas, and also has a removable shoulder strap.

The ad talks about holding a computer, but it must be camera OR computer, not both at the same time. Mine holds my camera and three lenses plus flash, but I couldn't put my Macbook Air (really thin) in there at the same time. Perhaps a netbook in the pocket?

The interior dimension of the J-803 is specified at 4.5" thick, which is the same as a Canon 5D sized camera (4.5" from base plate to top of pentaprism). The F-803 is only specified as 4.0" thick, so that bag will bulge out a bit with that size camera.

The J-803 will hold the 5D with 70-200/4 mounted and would be flush with the top of the bag (10"). Mounting a f/2.8 version of this lens would stick out about .75" from the top which may be what your picture link is showing.

If I am carrying my 70-200/2.8, I would use the Think Tank Retrospective 20 as I find the large lenses a bit tight in the J-803. However, the J-803 is a great low-profile bag when I am carrying f/4 lenses, or shorter primes.

I am unfamiliar with your Nikon equipment sizes so I don't know how they will fit.

Hope that helps some...

Has received today J-803. Great bag! The camera, all lenses and even SB-900 is located.
Thanks for guidelines!
