The Slingshot 300 just didn't have enough storage and I felt loading it ( I could squeeze everything in ) would make it too heavy and uncomfortable for a long carry so I felt the larger Flipside the better choice for both storage capacity and comfort .
I wouldn't say the Flipside is as user friendly as the Slingshot as far as fast accessability but it will do for now .
Both were priced the same BTW which I thought strange with the Flipside offering more and a bit more solid build with better padding .

Thought you should know what the 1/4 century Prince was . I had collectors comming out of the woodwork when I sold that one . In retrospect I often wish I had found a case . There was a large Gruen rectanular case it would fit in with minor mods but that wouldn't be the same .

I'm not going to go point by point refuting everything you say - you seem to lack the objectivity to accept anything I'm pointing out.

What you seem to point out, is mainly what you perceive to be faults in my social skills. Now how on earth am I going to start being objective about that?

- Well, in my opinion, it is. I don't see this as impolite, especially as it say "a bit impatient"

The statement, in and of itself, is rude. Plain and simple. Not just a bit rude either. You may disagree, but the fact remains, the statement adds no value whatsoever. I can accept you didn't find the review particularly interesting or helpful. Fine. But of what benefit is this statement about the article? None. Much like the rest of your commentary, which I largely dismissed based on your lack of socially acceptable communication skills.

Good. This is progress. We have now boilt the whole issue down to only one small bit: Me stating "Bumping after only 13 hours is a bit impatient".

You find it to be both rude (and not just a bit rude), and something that adds no value.

The rude part: Well, in your first reply, you dismissed this with a simple

Not really.

Which sounds like "I don't think it's impatient. But hey, it's no big deal right? Let's move on to the things that actually matter". And yes, absolutely. It's not a big point. My list isn't ranked by importance. It is in chronological order, and the first thought I had about this was that bumping after only 13 hours is actually a bit impatient. What with different timezones, people not being on POTN every single day, it might seem a little scary when the thread drops to the bottom of the page without a single reply. I suggest putting a link to this in your signature.

So to sum it up; If I had stated it differently, say like this: "I do realise that you'd like comments on your review, and that it can be tantalizing to wait for half a day. However, I think that people will see your thread, and that bumping it after only 13 hours might have been a little too early, what with different timezones people live in, and perhaps not visiting the forum every day", you would have accepted it. Right? (Not that I do this sort of thing, seeing as it's not userfriendly at all; I spend my time writing a whole lot of polite phrases, and I spend an unnecessary amount of your time, because you actually have to search through what I've written to find the essence.) Right, only one item remains:

Saying "Bumping after only 13 hours is a bit impatient" is unhelpful, and adds nothing of use.

(One should think that I was cut a little slack, seeing as I try concentrating the helpfulness, cut the crap, and get right to the point?)

If I had only posted "Bumping after only 13 hours is a bit impatient", then yes, that wouldn't have been a good post. A lot of people on POTN still do it, but here it would've been a better choice to use the "Report"-button.

However, when I give you 9 other points you can work with, I am of the opinion that this small part, where you seem to find such a terrible waste of time because it's not useful enough for you, does not warrant as much abuse as you give it.

Yeah...the Lowepro brand name does command a premium price apparently.

1: Bumping after only 13 hours is a bit impatient
2: Why 300 instead of 302? (Yes, I can see the explanation about price in the review, but people will still wonder)
3: Your links don't look like links
4: I can't highlight the text while reading (Yes, a lot of people do this)
5: Are you implying I read your 102-review first? Who's got time for that?
6: Before the third picture, everything is pretty much "It's awesome and has these features!", which is no more information than what Lowepro gives us.
7: How do you switch between cameras? Is the 7D in the bag with the 5DII on a neck strap or similar?
8: I feel that the 302 and the 300 differ in more ways than the one you told us.
9: Not a single negative thing to say about it? Oh come on! No bag is perfect!
10: No ending with summary, pros, cons, recommended for, not recommended for?

All of these points are legitimate and, ironically, have more depth than the review they are critiquing. OP, you appear quite self-centered to simply deflect all criticism as unfounded when that is not the case.

Your review reads like an expanded description of the product. You could call it a 'mini-review' , but even that is a stretch.

Those are real reviews, in-depth and very helpful in purchasing. Read some of those to help you with your writing.

I have that bag but I rarely use it the way it is intended. I should get something else I guess. I just use it to carry my stuff (Like George Carlin) around.

You mean no bag at all?

I'm bringing the 300 with me to the Air Show today! :D

I keep the 300 with me but use the Lowepro Toploader 70AW. I am unable to walk much anymore because of a bad foot so I stay close to my truck. Hell to get old.

I used one for a while. Frankly, the bag sucks. The way the camera sits in the bag is just awkward and causes it to swing to the outside. I was never comfortable with the bag opens and was always worried that I would forget to zip it well and have my camera eject from the package. Sadly, a while back, my girlfriends 50D was in the bag (she was using it) at an event. She had set the camera in the bag on a table and was working on some lighting. Someone came up, decided to move the bag to a different table and didnt' notice that bag wasn't zipped all the way. As they moved the bag, the camera slung out of it and took a nice impact on her 24-105F4L. It ended up costing her $400 to get the camera repaired and $380 for the lens.

Your main beef with this bag seems to be that the camera falls out when it isn't securely closed. While I sympathize with your girlfriend and her 50D, I'm not sure that's a good reason to fault the bag. ;)
