Is there a good gel shoulder pad for this bag ?. I feel like cutting the Kensington gel mouse pad for this bag :).

Have you looked at the Domke postal pad? I'm really glad I got mine. Helps a lot.
And it was inexpensive at Adorama. Transformed my Domke bags.

Regards

I guess I must be one of the few that uses this bag.

As far as camera backpacks go I like it. I've had a couple. I also only using it when hiking. I have an omni-pro bag with a pelican case for everything else.

I also don't have really big honkin glass to haul around either. Only real drawback is no good way to carry a tripod with it. Fortunately I have a great wife who handles that most of the time.

I hear the newer version of this bag has a tripod attachment.

I'm actually thinking of getting the Slingshot 200 AW just for times when I want to carry a few pieces of gear or have the wife carry it for me

I own one and did a review on that bag as well. I do use it more than the 300 AW.
