ill be happy if they move the 7d autofocus system into the 5d and the weather sealing.

bonus if they can implement canon cls but using IR signals rather than preflash.....

If they were to do something like that(The AF and weather sealing) then they would sell 1/2 the amount of 1Ds's then they would if they didnt. It just wouldnt benifit them if they were to put that good of an AF system on it. I would say that they expect it to be used as a studio camera that doesnt need a super fast AF. I could see them point more AF points into it but not much fast AF.

The IR Signals sound good though.

With MP's they are going to keep pushing the limits of the CMOS and go for 32 most likely, If they were to stay at 21MP and make the ISO even more usable that would be pretty awesome. I dont see them going lower though. Its just not really what they do, they havent even backed off of the 1.6 cameras MP yet(though it should be happening soon, maybe next 3-4 years)

I think the full frames should be showing there faces this year, along with a new Digic 5 processor.

Re: weather sealing

From all of my reading the 7D has a similar level of weather sealing to the 5D Mark II (The same as the EOS-1N).

As some other said, I would be happy to get a 7D with a FF sensor, and a street price around $2500. If Canon is so stupid keep increasing the resolution, I will switch to Nikon.

Nobody knows when it's due - heck, it might be this year at Photokina, it might be next year.

Your smaller file size - go back into your room and have a think will you?
There is NO WAY that files can be smaller - if you want smaller files shoot sRAW.

Both these questions have been discussed over and over and over on 16 or 17 previous threads, do you really think you are going to find out something new?
BTW smaller file size = stronger compression = lower quality = I don´t want it. Yesterday I tried a Hasselblad H1 with a 22MP digital back and it produced 200MB files - that´s about 10× bigger than RAWs from the current 5D Mk. II with the same resolution.
