I have many Loon images to sort through but enjoyed the 'hunch back' look of this shot. Taken last Saturday while paddling near our cottage.

Nice one, Scott. Having never seen a loon, I'm hoping for one on my trip this summer, particularly while on the north shore of Lake Superior.

Nice catch. Maybe there is a baby under there. Loons carry them around under their feathers. :)

I hope you see some Stan, you are certainly going to be in the right place! Even if you only hear them you will be impressed.

Thanks Mitch...hopefully there will be chicks when I'm out tomorrow morning. There were two eggs in the nest when this shot was taken, so none under the feathers yet.

Never tire of loon images like this... pretty, detailed shot Scott... I think they are one of the most photogenic birds on the waterways.
