I wanted it to say "this is why our city is broke, we have 5 lights in one intersection"

I think shooting it at night would bring more attention to the lights. I just did not want to stay around after work for the sun to set.

This one I was thinking "close enough for government work"

I forgot to turn the camera to portrait. Ill reshoot it tomorrow. It was right after work so my brain was a bit fried

Yeah epic fail on the second

The first picture is just a driveway that comes onto a street. Crap I think I worded it wrong. It should have said the street lights and not traffic lights.

Is that street Proctologist Way? ;-)a

I'm not quite sure what the problem is that you're trying to illustrate, but the lights would be better if shot at night, I agree.

I have to say that if you show up at a public meeting and try to make your case about too many street lights, you will be greeted by stunned disbelief shortly before the sergeant-at-arms escorts you from the meeting. It looks to me like each of the lights is on a different corner of a four-lane highway intersection. The problem with that is what? To me, this intersection reeks of "history of traffic fatalities", hence the many traffic lights. I submit that all those lights are meant to reduce the number of accidents.

I honestly don't get the point of the "close enough for government work" one. I do suggest that you get the shot before, not after work so that you're not shooting into the sun. But I don't think that will make your point any clearer.

I really have to agree with joedlh. Having a well lit intersection doesn't define why "our city is broke" at least to me.

I initially thought you were focusing on the number of traffic signals for a three-way stop, I think I count 8 of them.

Actually my friend is the city planner and he has to go to those meetings  . Its teh light that illuminate the street at night not the traffic signals. The signals are there because big trucks go to a warehouse in back. At night this place is a hot spot for street racing.

The second one neither of the poles are perpendicular they both lean.
