A couple more shots from west Texas a few weeks ago. It was hot that weekend. I was hoping the Orioles would still be around and I was lucky to catch them. The chicks had already fledged but the parents were still active in the area. Shots taken with 7D and 600 L f/4. Thanks for looking.

Male looking for some shade.

Female at the nest early in the morning.

Well done Brad, he's quite stunning in all his colors, and the female is very pretty too! That's an interesting nest with the string or yarn mixed in. Nice captures!

Great habitat shots Brad... love the look of the nest and that oriole is spectacular, a new one for me... wonderful find and capture.

A beautiful bird. First shot is great and shows the male in all its splendour, but I also really like how you captured the female at the nest.

Thanks a bunch Steve, The nest this year was more colorful than last. :) It's amazing how they can weave all that stuff together.

Thanks a lot Dave, We're lucky to have these birds nesting in my grandmother's yard. Wish I could go out there to see them more.

Thank you very much Sharon. They're hard to miss when they're flying past.
