Yes, Virginia, that's 540, as in CID! Any questions? ;)
OK, so it might look a bit strange from the back, but you're not likely to see the front view unless it's parked!
It will turn 10.70s in it's current untuned state, & in the 9.60s/130mph when track ready. Earl says the engine will put out 750-900bhp.
Turbo 350 3-speed auto trans; Ford 9" 3.90 rear end; track weight 2,500#, and a very pretty car that you don't see every day.

Actually, there were 3 of them there Tuesday night, but Earl's was the only one I was able to "catch". The other guys were driving around & having fun! ;-)a

OMG Frank! That's 200 some odd pounds lighter than my smallblock powered V8 Vega was! And with a Big Block to boot?
That's a SWEET looking car. :D ;)

Very pretty and impressive car :D

I was expecting this model ...it's the 105 version built from 1959 to 1967.

Most likely doesn't lend itself to the installation of a big block engine like the older version .... however, the original engine was a 4-cyl 1,200 ccm engine

According to wikipedia (external link), the model in the picture was built from 1940 to 1948. Interesting lore is that they were all built by ford UK ... hence the name.

Best regards,
Andy

Would love to have one to play around with.

Not sure that I'd try any spirited cornering with it! ;-)a
